Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using GitForge ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
GitForge is a Git hosting platform with integrated Git Large File Storage (LFS), code review, CI/CD pipelines, and team collaboration tools. The Service is provided on a subscription basis with free and paid tiers as described on our Pricing page.
3. Account Registration
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
4. Your Content
You retain ownership of all content you upload to GitForge, including source code, binary assets, documentation, and LFS objects ("Your Content"). By uploading content, you grant GitForge a limited license to store, serve, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of operating the Service.
You are responsible for ensuring Your Content does not violate applicable laws or the rights of third parties. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to distribute malware
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other accounts
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity of the Service
- Upload content that infringes intellectual property rights
- Use the Service to mine cryptocurrency or run unrelated compute workloads
- Resell access to the Service without written permission
6. Payment and Billing
Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. All fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change pricing with 30 days notice. If you exceed the storage limits of your plan, you will be notified and given the option to upgrade or reduce usage.
7. Service Availability
We aim to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance when possible. We are not liable for damages resulting from service interruptions.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, its design, branding, and underlying technology are owned by GitForge. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or proprietary technology beyond what is necessary to use the Service.
9. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support. We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms with or without notice. Upon termination, you may request an export of Your Content for up to 30 days.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GitForge shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, whether arising from contract, tort, or otherwise. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through the Service at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Delaware.
